Dr Mindy, what protocol did you follow for your 3 days fasting with bone broth? How many liters per day did you drink? Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge with us. Huge fan of yours and IF. This year, after reading "Fast like a girl" ,I have also started 3 days water fast once per season, for now.
Interesting, what form of collagen is giving the best results?
Please pronounce variability correctly if you are going to discuss it with such passion. (Picky comment, but Ithis is no different than reading a technical paper full of spelling and grammar errors; it does mean the information is wrong , it just sounds wrong).
We have different issues and problems.. .
Dr. Mindy. You need to listen ro plain people.... not celebrities.
Thank you both for an interesting conversation. And to anyone being judged by someone putting a lot of time, money and effort to stay free from wrinkles: do not take it to heart. Many people doing all that to themselves are doing it because they ARE judgmental. Of course they feel the need to comment on others, they need affirmation they efforts are paying off. So some people do all that stuff to feel better themselves and do not care what others think, but I am afraid a lot of the time aggressivly working against aging is based in fear. Myself, I just have a smaller mirror I hardly ever use, and people may judge me all they want. It will not make me do anything unnatural to my face. When I smile, my wrinkles are just where they ought to be.😄

What about using a DHEA cream? Will your body make the hormones it needs if you use this, post menopause?
Fasting causes heavy ovulation bleeding for me. I never see anyone talk about that. I still get my cycle, but with more pms. When I stop, ovulation bleeding and heavy pms stop. I tried this a few times. So I sadly stop ADF today. I've seen great results with IF, OMAD and ADF before but it makes me bleed so much. I'm on Day 16 and started bleeding on Day 14. Thought it was spotting (I never spot) but nope, it's like a period. All this doesn't happen when I'm not fasting. Just wish there was an explanation for this.
MISINFORMATION ALERT: BHRT made from yams are not proven to be effective. The term “bioidentical” is also a marketing term and is not one that board certified physicians use. And troche and injections are rarely if ever utilized by board-certified physicians. The best HRT, which are FSA approved, are transdermal Estradiol patch and oral Micronized Progesterone. 👏
wrinkles are a privilege not afforded to everyone. We gotta stop this shallow stupid vanity and get healthy!

So we should blame the sins of the of the fathers and mothers on their children? What are we saying here?
Take Niacin at night before bed, you'll wake up already in ketosis. Then take exogenous ketones in the morning, and you'll get a super boost. Or just MCTs to make your own since the body is already primed. Why would you waste ketones at night during sleep? Better to have it during your waking hrs for productivity.
I’ll take wrinkles over that possibility 😅

Excellent podcast, thank you! Regarding our nutrient depleted food, your discussion reinforces the need for us to grow our own food, where possible. I have a sun filled large yard and am a huge believer in growing your own organic produce. Anyone can grow leafy greens, even in a pot! This goes for making your own food too, including bone broth. We’re more inclined to consume the food we grow and make because we value it more than simply buying it. We know the effort put in, equals us appreciating it more.
